    cheapest blind I'll ever build

my 10yr old daughter wants to hunt this yr. I decided I'll have to make a decent blind for her to sit in and be comfortable and to conceal her movement and noise. I got all my 2x4s from a demo job I helped with they were free

then I scored some old privacy fence across from my parents house.

I pulled all the nails and screws out for reuse, I did have to pay $8 for some wood screws for the frame.
then it was time to build. I made the walls separate so the can be removed for easier transport to the woods. I will screw everything together there.
    here is the floor

    here are the walls

    checking window height.

good there time for other walls

    all done

stacked and ready for final resting spot
hopefully this Friday morning it will happen. will add the roof when we get there. it will be a simple tin roof.
so far a total of $23 invested. will buy tin for roof, foam spray to seal cracks or openings and thinking about putting some type of foam insulation on inner walls.
    I think it'll work.

Just curious why you didnt stack the boards like siding? Will water not get in through the boards on top of the others? It is a great looking blind though. I wish I had your bill. I just spent $1K to build a blind for my daughter and I.

Looks great! My hats off to ya for being resourceful. I too built a blind for my daughter this year and that thing quickly got to be expensive.

I dig the lapped siding look. I built a hexagon bow blind this year out of old fence wood, but stapled roofing felt to the frame then just nailed the boards over the felt. Spent a little more than you...haha. Think I have about 650 in mine with the tower and all but it's insulated and tight! I may make a modular one though for the ground similar to yours! Nice work! Chasing Bone,I just liked the way it looked compared to overlapping. Really not too worried about rain getting in, most likely will only be in it during dry weather.
