Default Lease toilet surprise

We got to the lease about 7:30 Friday evening. Wife had to pee so bad she grabbed my house key and ran in. I was getting stuff out of the truck and she came running and crying out of the house. I knew it had to be a snake! Found a bull snake over 6 foot long staring back at me in the crapper! I have a great video of pulling him out but wife had some choice words and itís pretty inappropriate. Snake was safely released.

By the time I rounded up the stuff to yank him out he was on his way back down the pipe. I had to fight him pretty hard. I knew if he got away from me in the plumbing, Iíd have been getting a motel room. If she hadnít had to put the seat down and just sat down..... I donít know! Probably be making her final arrangements all weekend! Sheís utterly terrified of snakes of any species and size. We have lots of rattlesnakes, it could have just as easily been one of them.

I'd have found my wife dead in the bathroom floor from a heart attack. She has the worst phobia of snakes that I've ever seen. That event just might have killed her.

Have mercy....that place would have been torched if that happened to me!

OK....how did he get in there?!?!?!?!?! And how are you going to keep this from happening again?!?!?!?! I know those are the questions you got...how did you reply? Hopefully, very well thought out responses, or it could STILL be torched!

I'm not afraid of much....but that right there, would rate number 1 of all fears!

A bull snake will bite probably more readily than any other snake. They are very temperamental when messed with

As a kid I made a mess out of a opossum in an out house. I learned to look and check after that incident and found a timber rattler in the same out house a few years later.

Well, I would have been punched in the throat and cursed during my recovery!!!
Then told to remove the snake. Baby don't like snakes.
Yours is a funny story though, well worth a punch in the throat.

Yikes. Similar story but rattlesnake wrapped around bottom of toilet. Father n law went to take a shower. Flipped. Unloaded pistola on the toilet. Dead snake. Dead toilet. Had a single wide delivered a week later. Might not see your wife back out to camp again? Ever?

Hot water heater breaker is in the bathroom in the cabin at the lease. Went in without turning on the lights to flip the switch & a Tx rat snake was coiled up above the water heater & he struck at me as I went to flip the switch. Not sure if he or I was more surprised but we both left the area quickly!

Been there done that. We couldn't manage to snag ours out, so we poured half a bottle of drano down the toilet. He didn't like that very much and came out promptly on his own.
