    Question about grown up bottom

The place i hunt has a pretty good size bottom that my cousin usually mows once a year, usually about the time bow season starts. Last year there was always deer in the bottom feeding and crossing it.
This year he hasnt mowed it yet. Now its head high. Last year we hunted on the ground and had some success. Can’t really afford to get a stand that allows two people to hunt off the ground. One end closest to the neighbors woods isnt as bad and thats where we saw the bucks last year.
My question is: do you think they will still cross thru there being grown up?

I think so ..look for the path of least resistance . Deer are like people they will use the easiest path from point a to point b unless pushed .

Yes. My spot is grown up on one side head high this year. Watched a deer last Thursday cruise right throughout it.

Sounds like a bedding area in the making. Deer will leave their beds daily.

If its human head high its doesn't sounds like you are going to be able to see them anyway....I would make my own path if even with a dang weedeater... they'll come back

I would mow/clear a trail for the deer right by my blind.
                      Path of least resistance
Same situation we have. I keep a single path with the bush hog cleared during the summer.

Im only 5’6” so its not that tall[emoji23]. But yes, be hard to see them. There is one are where its only maybe 2’ at most, and we can sit on the hill overlooking that area.

Maybe not even cut the whole thing but more of some lanes. They will use that tall grass for cover/bedding.

Atleast that's the way I see it on TV hehe
