I've been covered up in cattle since youth season began.

I killed a decent buck off of a skidder when we cleared our land.. I noticed deer tracks in the skidder tracks every morning. One evening the loggers were leaving my land and I climbed up on the skidder and sat . About a hour later I started seeing deer.. he came by looking for a doe..

Your spot will be prime in a couple years.. plenty of browse and bedding ..

I have seen that before in SE Texas. I once had them cut everything around me and haul it out. All that was left was my feeder, untouched, and the lone tree my ladder stand was still attached, however, they did cut the top out of my tree about 4' above my seat.

It was odd, 150 yards off the lease road, there stood 1 tree with a ladder stand and feeder with nothing around for 400-700 yards, just sticks and limbs.

I can’t count the number of deer I’ve seen walk within 40 yards of those skidders and never pay them attention

It gonna be better I promise.... Unless those were the preferred pine cones in that area
