Guadalupe County Public Dove Hunting

Has anyone hunted the public dove hunting in Guadalupe county? There are three places between Schertz and New Braunfels off I 35. If you have what should I expect. Also, the rules state that I need a HIP certificate. What is it?

HIP cert is "you answer a couple of B.S. questions" when you pick up your license...hope that helps boo

I hunted all three places last year. I had some luck but you really have to hike in to get away from the crowds.
