I think that is the best thing he could have done for himself. He was always a great QB. I still hope the Texans can convince him to play one more season.

I may be wrong but I think this may be a temp situation for him.

But, he'll only do the first round of the playoffs.

              Good for Tony.

Now the rest of us can get on with our business. Like killing stuff.

Best of luck to Romo! Great career at the hardest position to play in team sports.

I'd love to see him get to play with a good team that had a great offensive line, but I am glad to see him retiring. All those back injuries are just too dangerous. It's not worth being lame for life. I hope he does well with whatever he does next.

Jerry approved other teams speaking with him a couple of days ago. Maybe there has been no interest. Sources said as much, claiming he was keeping Romo on the roster to save his feelings, because no team wanted him. Not for 24 million. This shows Romo is keeping his options open. You never know. Either way good for him and hope he finds success where ever he ends up.
I think there were probably plenty of teams interested, it just doesn't sound like any of the teams he was interested in, were interested in him at the $$ he thought he deserved.

As I understand it, there is a Retired Reserve list they can put him on where he's retired, but the Cowboys retain his rights.
