Hill County Dove

How are the dove in Hill County? Heading that way Saturday morning and wanted to see if anyone was having luck.

I hunted in Blanco the past couple of days and couldn't believe the number of birds that were flying. Could have easily shot a limit from my tree stand yesterday morning. They were flying great in Bertram as well.

What in the world do you call hillcountry? Have you ever been to Llano or Blanco? Both are about as primo hillcountry as it gets.

Lots of them under my feeder as well. I am just outside of Bandera. I don’t too many flying but then again I’m not seeking them out.

Haha Buckshot-73 is right. I said Hill "county" not country. Heading to Itasca/Covington area.

Had a good opening day down there but would only see 3 or 4 the rest of my trips. Wondered if they were flying the same, better or worse this time of year.
