9mm vs 10mm

If you could carry a 10 mm gun that was the same size as a 9mm gun for self defense would you?

Meh not really. I’ll give you that bullet selection is more critical but there’s plenty of defense rounds that don’t over penetrate by the FBI standards.

But if given the choice I’ll take a round that over penetrates over under one that under penetrates.

Given everything else equal I’ll agree and go with the higher penetrating round. With higher capacity and softer recoil I’ll go with the 9, which isn’t lacking in penetration with proper load selection these days. That’s personal preference though.

No. I'm comfortable with what a 9mm will do with the right ammo and my ability to put it in the right spot
