    IN YOUR REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE.

I can tell you my perspective.

I’ve tried the blood lights and a couple work purdy good but...

The best thing I’ve found is the brightest white LED over 1000 lumens you can find, that red shows up awesome when you put that much light on it. I mean it makes that red, real red.

Does no one use a Coleman lantern anymore?

Didn't believe it until I saw it, but that lantern makes the blood dang near glow.

40KAP headlamp is the furthest shining headlamp available in Red, Green, white and IR. Shines over 800 yards. Fully focusable and has a variable dimmer.

I like my old maglite 6D. Its the old school bulb not LED. I've tried LED lights, I don't know if it's the color or the brightness but I cant see blood near as well.

Any regular light... Good bright one

I have never seen a "tracking light" actually work

The kap headlamp is a good one

Never heard of the coleman lantern for tracking blood. I will have to put that and bright white light to the test and see. Thanks guys.

Any other wisdom from experience with blood tracking lights is appreciated.

It’s not a successful blood track unless you have burned yourself at least 2 times with the lantern

Brightness or whiteness really isn’t what does it. In lighting there’s something called “color rendering index” or CRI which rated on a scale up to 100. The higher the number the more vibrant colors appear to be and the easier it will be to distinguish blood You can have a very bright very white light with a low CRI which will cause all of the colors to be dull and hard to distinguish. Get a light w the highest CRI possible.

I’ve never tested a lantern but it is possible that it has a lot of red in the emitted light spectrum which would cause the red specifically to really pop while other colors may still be dull.
