Default I love taking kids huntin.

My 14 year old niece is in town. Asked if Iíd take her huntin. We went straight to the store today and I bought her license and here we sit huddled around the Buddy heater. Been some does and spikes around. Is it bad that I wish the biggest buck around comes in so she can shoot it?

Nothing wrong wishing that. I do the same when I take any young hunter with me. The youth are our future. Hope y'all have a great time and knock a big one down!

Thatís what itís all about. I get so much more joy out of taking kids hunting or even friends that havenít been or rarely get to go.

That’s awesome!
My buddy brought his kid yesterday. He wanted to see a deer heart. I happened to shoot a doe yesterday morning. So I left the heart out for him to take a picture holding it. He wanted to know if I would be his friend when he got older. He went home and told his mom the best part of the hunt was meeting me and making a new friend. Made my day!!

Hope y’all find him. Makes you happier than if you had shot it. Just seeing the excitement and smile on their face.

Not a huge one. Not really one I wanted gone. But hey, itís all about the youth. He was a pain to kill. Every time I said ok gently squeeze another deer would walk behind or in front of him. Then heíd walk off and come back. Iím really proud of her for keeping her composure. Just hearing her breathing made my day and also gave me the excitement that Iíve lost killing deer. Now the wife has about two hours of pulling cactus out of me. Well worth it.
