Houston/Trinity bay fishing advice (Quick trip)

I'll be in Houston next week for work and was looking at some places to go take the fly rod and do a little casting. Anyone familiar with El Jardin Beach or Pine Gully Park? Time will be limited and these spots should be quick to get to in relation to where I am staying. Anything else that is public around there to check out? Thanks!!

During the weekend they get pretty crowded with swimmers. I think Pine Gully you have to be a Pasadena resident or there"s a $5 charge to get in. The lagoon by the Kemah bridge may work out better for you. There's usually some rat reds along the grass.

Thanks buddy. Not knowing the area, I am unfamiliar with the Kemah Bridge or where to park and access the water.
