Default Traditional FSC week 7

OK fellas, Here is my offering this week. 17yds sitting, blank sheet of paper stuck to your target. Paper orientation shooters choice, This is a 3 shoot group emphasis on GROUP. Shoot 3 arrows and then measure distance from each hole, mark down your measurement then add the 3 together for your total. Example A, is not the best scenario. Example B, would be my choice of groups. Careful not to string your shots. I will shoot mine later.
Good luck.
Richard

It was drizzling pretty heavily when I shot mine.
Glad I shot when I did, because it's down pouring right now,
and supposed to continue to do so until tomorrow afternoon.

Glad I got some stove wood gathered up this morning,
cause it's gettin a little cool too.

Here's mine. Real happy with these: 4-1/16" total.
Key seemed to be getting kind of middle-ish first shot.

Yep, it kinda took the pressure off for the first shot. Just get it somewhere near middle, then shoot at it for your next two.

Not at all.
No matter the first shot, you still have to follow up with two more.

I'll post mine.
Got lucky with the first two, but got a little worried for the 3rd.
I hate ruining arrows.

My paper was wet allowing the spot on the block behind it to show through a little.

Plus - string walking is my/your friend. Using a 20 yard fixed crawl at 20 yards only makes you shoot slightly high at 17 yards.

I did. Kind of a funny story...but I had a big group of pigs come in at absolute last light. I picked out the biggest one, and it looked like it was probably 100lbs or so and black. I let it fly, heard a squeal and they all took off. When we got ready to look we had good blood, but when we found the pig it was about a 30lb red colored pig. I don't know if it was so dark I was just wrong about the color and size, or if I missed all together and hit another hog. But either way I got one lol!! After all the excitement of tracking and getting it loaded up and back to camp it was late and we didn't even think to get a pic.

This is a tough one. I won't be able to try till Wednesday. I'm afraid I'm already in trouble as I hardly ever shoot sitting. I'll do my best. Like Rick's advice of putting first in the middle and shooting for it with the last 2. I have more nocks. (Doubt that I'll need them)

Like to see some more shots. Simple challenge: hit the broadside of the paper first, then don't change anything for next two.

I wanted to shoot mine today but I'm on the injured list. We had gotten my wife a new car a couple weeks ago, and the hard plates came yesterday. I was taking the paper tags off and cut my middle finger on my left hand right in the crease of the first knuckle. Not a bad cut at all, but it's right where my bowstring sits. Tried to shoot today and couldn't do it. Looks like I may have to take a few days off until it heals up. Of all the places to cut my finger it had to be there!!

Sorry about your finger. Nice bandaid, though. Maybe try shooting with the extra protection of the bandage and your glove.

Did you say it was cut by the paper license plate -- so, a paper cut?

I'm not sure what cut it really. I didn't even realize I cut it until I saw the blood. It's not a bad cut, it's just in a bad spot. I'm sure it'll be fine in a day or two. Just sore when the pressure of drawing pushes the string into it.

I was able to take a few minutes and shoot earlier. Wasnt good! I wasn't even close. I can't get Photobucket to load. Oh well, it'll just save me some embarrassment! Lol
this shooting only once a week for the FSC is catching up to me. I gotta get back to a daily commitment of executing a few perfect shots! Perfect form that is!

We've had only 5 participants this week.

This was a real good exercise. If someone don't slip in here
before midnight with a winner, I am going to start a new FSC
topic, and use the same call for the upcoming week.

Everyone will get a do over.
