Shot a doe in Fayette country this a.m.

Had 3 does come in this morning around 7:40 and stayed for about 10 min till I was able to get a shot off on a pretty good sized one. I shot her while she was walking and shot her pretty far back in her mid section. I was 20' up in a tree and the shot was a little over 20 yards away, slightly quartering away. Camera was about 2' to the left of my bow. I'm not proud of the shot but I backed out and will give her till lunch. We have a dog and I'm almost certain she bedded up out in the pasture about 120 yards away. The arrow had some blood and some clear liquid, probably some liver and guts.

Hopefully everyone had a great morning! Beautiful weather!

Well guys, she did end up dying right where I thought she did. I didn't believe it but in about 2 hours the coyotes already had here guts taken out. Good thing though is they didn't touch any of the main meat. You just never want to take the chance of jumping them so I waited.

Now it looks like you need to work on getting rid of some coyotes since they took no time at

Man that was quick! I am assuming it would still be good to eat if they just got the guts and such?

I'd get the backstraps out and leave the rest.

How come( I am seriously asking)? I would think that they did him a favor. That deer cooled quickly and I can't see how they hurt the quarters at all.
