They are different bucks. The buck in the daylight pic has brow tines that curl inward, and the buck in the night time pic has brow tines that curl outward.

Got to the tree at about 5:15am, pulled my bow up, realized my quiver was gone. I know it was on when I left my truck. Made 2 passes through the route I came in on and couldn't find it. Took my stand down and went back to the truck, looking for the quiver on the road and couldn't find it. Forgot a buddy had left an arrow in my truck and I had one broad head for it. Walked back out to a different spot and got setup about about daylight. Saw zero deer. Makes 3 sits in a row getting skunked. Boo... If anybody comes across a Mathews quiver with 2 Maxima Red arrows in it, please let me know. Thanks! Will be back out Friday morning.

Awesome deer. But unless that buck has 30 inch main beams, it doesn't sniff 159.

48 inches of mass says otherwise. I see 156 from Irving Tx I could only imagine in person what that stud must look like.

Someone shot something? Fun times. If itís an actual giant, awesome!

But a word of advice. Be careful where and who you share that pic with. Taking the wardens out to where you shot it can be a real PITA, kind of like taking your wife with you to go shopping for hunting gear!

Because the land this deer was shot on is close enough to get on Corp land. Within a few miles.

Great. Post a pic. Done. The going back and forth over what the deer scored or didn't score is stupid and adds nothing to the thread. Next thing you know we're going to be posting pics of your big stripers on the Whitney public hunting thread because the Brazos River passes through Whitney COE land.

Plus there are way more important topics to discuss...like a huge shooter being down and then the tracking dog bat signal being blasted out.

So did anyone see that deer run over by where i30 and i20 meet? Thatís relevant right? Or something.

Iím just going to start calling the deer shot on this thread ďThe Star Wars BuckĒ because it probably pulled a Luke Skywalker and force projected itself to the hunter.

Yep! Spoiler alerts and random nonsense all in one thread within 48 hours!

I don't mind non-vine buck stories on the Vine thread, I was just confused by the story of the grapevine buck who was down but needed a tracking dog, was never recovered and was actually shot in Honey Grove. Hunt on fellas! I'm out Friday AM sitting in the rain if need be.
