That just seems early for the rut. It seems like when I've went on thanksgiving the past few years they were starting to rut really hard. Is it just this weird weather we've had you think? I saw several young bucks chasing here in Sulphur Springs late October but not any mature bucks. My son shot a good 9pt Wednesday evening and his neck was not swollen at all and tarcel glands were almost white and not stinking at all. He was by his self when we got him and not a doe around. Maybe this front will make them start something. Idk
