    DIY bbq pit build.

This will be a winter project between hunting and camping with the family. Starting with a 36"x10' tank that I've had sitting around too long. I all the junk cut off of it today and realized how much grinding I have ahead of me. Also figured out the doors, traced them out, and started cutting. I got one door almost cut now, just working around the rain as of now. The three doors will be 30" wide and 20" tall.

That thing is gonna be heavy. Are you planning on trailer mounting it?
        How thick is the tank?

It 1/4" thick. I have plans to build a double axle trailer to put it on. With all this rain it's moving slow. And yes it is heavy. It will get even heavier when it gets the double walled three foot firebox.

Got all the doors hinged and strapped today. Now I need to weld on the handles and door stops.

I went and picked up the inner liner of the firebox today. Found it in garland on Craigslist. It's 24"x36" the guy sells it for $20 a foot plus another $5 to cut it, so I figured $65 ain't all that bad. I won't get to work on it this weekend since I will be at the lease.
