Tough one! I dont think I could. The grass doesnt allow you to see that crease in the shoulder if you were considering hugging an arrow in tight. Quartering to is not an angle I will shoot often.

I bet is as he walks off he's going to check the buck behind him and pause for a moment. When he does I'd let it fly , if not then let him walk he'll be back.

I'd wait. He may give you a better angle even though he is about to exit. A grunt may stop him
