    Arrow Speed

Just curious about where we all are. I don’t really care much about draw weight as limb design makes that such a weird variable. To me, the rubber hits the road with arrow speed.

What speed and arrow weights are you guys getting out of your hunting rigs? I’m kicking around 177fps average with my 520gr arrow.

Just wondering where I am relative to the “average” (whatever that is in a group so varied).

I’m about where you are. The recurve I hunt with slings a 510 grain arrow at about 180fps

I haven’t chronoed my new longbow I’m shooting now. I’m shooting a 532gr arrow with 50# at my DL. My old longbow was high 158fps with a 575gr arrow.

Looks like 3-3. Wheelie Bows VS. Traditional. At any rate I am interested to know what everyone else is actually getting not advertised speed.

                    I’m messing with you.

Real world numbers on wheel bows or trad?

No what he is saying is this is in the traditional section. So the discussion was intended to be about traditional equipment.
I'm just a bit over 180fps as well. I really liked the trajectory of my lighter arrows at 205fps but my bow is much quieter where I am.

Arvin, that is a fantastic speed for a selfbow with a 10.6gpp arrow.
