Default 1-1/2"+ bone in ribeye going down tonight

Hope i dont screw it up. Going to sear, butter, then cook at 500 for a few minutes. More pics later

Dang those steaks look tasty. How long did you sear and then how long in the oven? I tried that method once and cooked them too long.

1.5 minutes on each side and my steak took 8 minutes at 500 degrees. My wife and mother in law's will be about 12 minutes. Very thick steaks!

The last one I did I smoked it till 125. Then got the grease hot in an iron skillet and then seared it. Hm good

Nothing better then good old steak. And yours looked gooood

I have done the smoke method followed by searing and it was very good.
