Finally got mine engraved ($30 in Austin) and assembled. Took 98 days on the stamp.

Who did you get to engrave in Austin for $30?

Is "multi" acceptable?

You can't use multi on your form for caliber but if done by the receiver manufacturer it's fine.

The barrel will (should) have the caliber stamped on it.

Dave, your lower may indeed have the word "multi" engraved on it. Ignore that unless it's a factory SBRed lower (they are not common). On Box 4(c) of ATF Form 1 enter a precise caliber. I entered "300" for my .300BLK. You could put that, or 5.56, but look at your barrel first. ATF doesn't seem concerned with the decimal in front of .300.

Decided to put a 1-4 on my 9 SBR. May go back to irons again, but for now it is scoped. I don't like the position of the scope and may get a Larue or other cantilevered mount.
