I know one thing. What ever you decide to go with, start as soon as the rut ends. Early to mid January. The rut is havoc on these South Texas bucks, especially on a property that's been overgrazed.

What county are you hunting...just curious as south tx covers a huge area.

I have read that feeding cottonseed and cause bucks to become temporarily sterile.... anyone else heard of this?

Nope only in breeder pen settings.
