Hard to pick a favorite, but Axis is the best 4 legged critter I have had and quail is my favorite fowl.

With hooves? Oryx(gemsbock) hands down. I'd throw 10 lbs of elk steak in the trash to get a few bites of oryx, and I really like elk.

Feathers would either be quail or wild turkey.

Fins would be a good ol spotted sea trout.

You’re on to something, but I’ve gotta go:

                Crappie
                Mountain Lion
                Possum
                Axis

                Probably in that order.

I like pretty much anything. Elk is really good but then again so is deer. Out of all the game birds I've tried I'd say turkey is my least favorite. Rabbit and pheasant taste about the same to me. Reptiles all taste the same to me. Some just have more meat than others. Frog legs are good and I'm a big fan of fish, catfish being my least favorite. Basically I'll eat whatever is in front of me. I'm not real picky about food.

It's hard for me to just pick one or put them in order. I've tried some things that weren't bad but not my favorite. Then tried the same thing cooked differently and it was really good. So I don't know how to answer that question.

fried baby swamp rabbit. Grandma fried one up that I killed way back in the day. Nothing better.

                            Flathead catfish/walleye/crappie/blue fin tuna (raw)

properly aged Nilgai Ready Chop from Broken Arrow Ranch.

I will have to take you guys word on critters like Eland, Addax, and Bighorn Sheep, as I have not and probably will not get the chance to try stuff like that.

At the end of the day, it is more about the cook than the critter.

What makes Oryx so good? Is it fatty like a ribeye or something?
