Dog might be needed in Three Rivers TX

In Three Rivers TX. Took a shot that might have been to early and not sure of the shot placement. Found blood and then jumped him about 100 yards in while following blood. Lost sight about 40yards in tall grass when he popped up. Backing off until around 10 but would like a number just in case. Not a monster by any means but would like to try and recover if down.

Yeah I don’t like the corn around the blood. The arrow has absolutely no gut odor. One of the rage blades is broken in half so I’m hoping maybe a rib hit and at least clipped a vital. Clean pass through with arrow covered in blood from tip to tip

This, but he used to not like to trail archery wounded deer. That was 20 years ago though.

That corn VERY WELL could have come from the gullet and NOT the gut too... but still best to back out and get a dog on the track if you can... If you hit low and forward, that corn could have come from a brisket shot that is still lethal if it got in deep enough to cut the gullet... lots of blood vessels in that area too... just might take a bit for him to bleed out...
