    6x6 Metal Bow Blind!

Started A YEAR ago. Well had the base made last year and hunted off it with a pop up.
    The base is 6x6x5.
Stand is 6x6 & 78” in the front 75” in the back
    Deerview deluxe door
Have the deerview windows but ran out of time to mount them today.

Still have to seal it up and figure out exactly how I want to insulate it. Ideas???

Looking great! I sealed my BiL's with a lot of silicon calking. And used the pink R-paneling for insulation. You can get it at HD. He and my nephew have never had to fire up a heater, even during the winter.

Here's for some ideas for ya. Just another rifle blind.

Man that build was pretty slick!

I know the downfall to metal skin is the noise factor but I have been tossing around different insulation ideas that I think will keep the noise down.

You will end up wanting the windows smaller.

                Nice build

I thought the same thing but this is more of a blind to get the wife her first bow kill. I figured the bigger the windows the more comfortable she would be shooting out of them. Also I spent the little extra to get the tinted deerview windows so letting in too much light won’t be an issue.

Rigid insulation boards. Cut them to fit snug and they will stay in place.

That’s kind of what I was leaning towards. I thought someone made some type of insulation boards that were around 1/2” and a “peel and stick”

Yah, that's what I was talking about. The pink stuff. Comes in different thicknesses too. That is what I used in my BiL's blind. You can glue it in place too. Great insulation!

are u insulating for sound or warmth? Pink board they describe would do good for sound I think insulating for warmth is pointless when windows are open

This. Foamboard and liquid nails, and calk everywhere you can. I built several rifle blinds years ago like that and it worked well. I didn’t skin them with metal, but it will work just as well.

Insulation, especially in a metal blind, keeps condensation from forming when it’s closed up and getting hot, then cold, then hot.........
