My daughter is on her way to Army BCT

Being a Marine, I don't know a whole lot about Army boot. She is excited and nervous at the same time.

I was a helicopter Crew Chief/door gunner on CH-53's in the Corps. She decided she wants to work on Blackhawks and that is what she is going to do. She wants to work up to Crew Chief also

My son is currently in the police academy in Ada OK right now. Glad that both of them decided to serve

Have you gotten a whole lot of feedback about how hard it was for her to go through? How were the communications with her during it? It was different in the lifetime ago that I went to boot, it was all by letters.

Hey, you are dating yourself with those two aircraft

Don't feel bad, my first aircraft was an Alpha model 53 that had a whole bunch of patches down the #1 side from Vietnam. We flew all the Alphas to the boneyard and had all Deltas after that

She is going to be at Fort Jackson, SC

Watching the changing of the guard is a moving experience. Just seeing Arlington is something every American should do
