I am hunting on Fort Hood and looking for some feeder ideas. I would like to do something that can hold a good amount of feed so I dont have to go in to the area much.

Depends on what you are hunting. If you want a bump feeder, look at the Ft Hood thread on the Public Hunting Opportunity forum. They came up with some good ones that are relatively inexpensive and hold a guesstimated 30#. You can alway make something bigger. If you want to go with something with a timer I would recommend a 55 gal drum with a feeder hanging under it. Your choice of putting it on a tripod or hanging it from a tree.
I think the key thing is hiding the feeder. About a decade ago I lost two feeders and a stand on Hood. Haven't hunted there since.
