Default What broadheads do you use?

I'm just curious, I've run a lot of different things for varmint hunting but for deer always used rage until recently. Changed to an Aussie made one "Ozcut".

They're tough as nails, though my first hunt with them yesterday I got home to realise an arrow had been knocked out of my quiver in the bush so down one already.

I've never been loyal to any brands in bow, gun, camo, ammo or broadhead, I just use what I like so I'll always keep an eye out for something better.

interested to know what you guys all use, particularly what you guys use on big game like elk, moose etc.

cheers,

JP

Sattelite, Muzzy, Striker, then Wasp Hammer for the last few years, but I'm thinking on Black Hornets when I change over to FMJs from the Axis I now shoot. That's for big game, Rocket Hammerheads or Grim Reapers for turkey.

I'm an ORMF (old retired military fellow) and I am still using the same BH I started using 40+ years ago--Bear Razorheads. Easy to sharpen, and the kill 'em dead.

Rage until I lost a mighty fine 10 point this year. only about 3" penetration, and the arrow broke off as the buck was hightailing it. I think it hit the shoulder blade and stuck. It was raining, and any blood trail was wiped out in the 1 1/2 hours I waited before pursuit.

So...I am most likely joining the rage bashers and going to change this year. Not sure what I will go to; maybe back to Thunderheads.
