Default Kid-Proof Arrow-Proof Fence Saving Backstop

I was given an 8' steel industrial spool by Shake 'N Bake last year with the intent to Okie-engineer a blind. Rather than a blind I put together an insurance policy for our fence after seeing the kids hit the fence a few times.

Tractor supply provided the thick rubber pen mats.

1" sheet metal screws made short work of it.

Used a reciprocating saw to trim it.

When we are done shooting I can roll it over to the side of the house.

So far, so good.

Nice...only downside a high poundage bow will penetrate through the rubber and shatter an arrow on the cross braces.

This is true. The arrow will stop though. Won't be doing much more than kid shooting back there.

Shooting the trad bow over the last few weeks this backstop has saved my fence in a big way!

Was just looking at Tractor Supply's website. Which mat did you use? What's the thickness?
