Caught one trying to slip through the fog on the farm in Angelina County Friday morning. Not the big one I’m after, but a good management deer and some much needed meat in the cooler. Teeth say 5.5 y/o.

Acorns are drying up and the chasing is getting started in Hunt county, the next few weeks should be really good.

Finally saw a buck chasing a doe in Cass County. Managed to shoot a doe Sunday am. She had just a hint of smell to her.

I wish I had a long write up for this one but I dont. New deer that just showed up last week crossed Sunday morning at 7:05 and I popped him with the 270. He had to make it interesting and ran 15 yards for an easy recovery. Now to catch up on my honey dues i've been slacking on the last 7 weeks.
