Came up on this near Meridian on the way to Brady this am... My hubby had passed through about 10 min before me and this wasnt happening at that time...

In case you can't tell this is a new Ford... these 2 pictures were taken 5 minutes apart with the first being right after I pulled up...

The doors and cab literally appeared to MELT off this truck... as did more by the time I decided to turn around and find a detour around. Seemed kind of strange...

That's what I was thinking... no way I'd buy one for sure now... it looked like someone threw molten lava on it...

In a couple of years you probably will not find a truck without the aluminum body. Chevy is next according to reports.

Why, because any truck not aluminum is going to survive a fire like that? Doesn't matter if "the doors melted off" or not. Totaled is totaled.

Unless you plan on setting your truck on fire, I'm not sure what this really proves. Aluminum has a lower melting point than some other metals but doesn't nessecarily mean it is less strong.

Exactly, that truck is toast whether it's steel, aluminum, titanium or plastic.
