Decisions. Decisions. Watch list for next year.

Got several deer to watch this summer.

This is not my normal idea of "my kind of deer", but dang he's massive. Good up. Great brows. He'll be 6 1/2 next year. Protein head. He goes where it's available. Probably stay in the low 50's. He'll be passed by the partners. I know where he lives and he'd be pretty easy to kill, I believe.

That's what protein will do for your deer herd! Nice buck, easy decision on taking that big boy.

This is another deer that I normally wouldn't hunt. I started to kill him two years ago, but his short beams and the fact that I thought he was 4 1/2 made me pass. His body is HUGE. To see him in person is something else. He was a "near 11" two years ago and fell back to a 9 this past year. My brother saw him this year and was highly impressed. I just don't know. I named him the Potbellied Pig two years ago. It stuck. He'll be 6 1/2 this year.

The second deer looks like a cow with horns! Gotta love that!

Man, you do have some nice ones. Love the dark horns on that one, I still like the first one better.

You need to get back to basics. A good cat squirrel hunt right out of Honey Island will settle ya down

Now, I love this deer. Have watched him for 3 years also. He's named the elk. I don't have a deer that has a high beam rack. He probably won't score much over 140, but I like the wall appeal. Short brows, but have grown a little each year. His mass isn't much, but there's hope as he uses about 5 pens. Last pic of him showed him more run-down than I'd like. He's another deer that I think I could ambush pretty easily. He's on top of my list, but we'll see. He's "my kind of deer". He'll be 6 1/2 next year.
