Been busy today. I shot this 10 from the dunes late morning. I saw 2 does with no shot opportunity and two bucks. The first came over the dunes at 730 and while sky lighted against the gulf was clearly leagal and a nice tall 8. I ranged him and had just flipped the safety off when he eased off into the 7 foot tall weeds.

This second buck came out to my left at 452 yards and gave me just enough time to range, adjust my scope and bang. Dead deer, now there fun begins hauling him through waist high grass 700 yards back to the road.

I gave my dad that stand and took another hoping he gets a crack on one.

My dad saw a hog today but wouldn't present a shot.

Only a few saw deer today and 1 other doe shot but not recovered. It's difficult to see deer and even harder to shoot on in this high grass.

I'm liking my new spot, mix of dunes and low depressions. I'm in an elevated blind on top of a dune.
