If it's in your gallery, there is an option below where you insert your message (on android at least) where you can add a file. You have to allow your phone access to your pictures though.

A little off topic however, would any of the veterans here be willing to help me scout out a couple areas for next season here in the Sam that I've been poking around on google maps? I'm more than happy to pick up a lunch tab at city hall cafe in huntsville or something along those lines in return.

I'm terrible at guessing and since I don't know the spread, I'd guess he nets 115ish give or take a few

I wanted to let y'all know they released the Trophy Wife to go home. We're finally back at the house and she's doing great. The Dr's said the whole transplant couldn't have gone better and she's well on her way to a full recovery. We have to go back to Dallas every two weeks for the next six weeks, then every three months for the rest of the year for follow up labs to adjust her antl-rejection medicine. She's been sick for six long years and she's not sick anymore. It's just a miracle that she's made it through this. Thanks again you guys for all the prayers and pep talks on bad days. Better days are ahead now. See you guys in the woods.

Anybody hunting SHNF between Point Blank and Huntsville? My dad has a fish camp in Point Blank and we’re thinking about hunting up there a little this year. We got screwed by our land owner and quit our lease.

I appreciate the offer but HF already headed out to the woods with me to check my spots to see what was what. If you want someone to scout with out there I'm more than happy to head out in the next couple weeks to put boots down.

I've done some hunting around those parts. Real thick brush in most spots, and some pigs if you head down towards new Waverley. As far as other stuff, not too sure but I do know there's a lot of people that poach over there sadly. Honestly it depends on how far in you're willing to push IMHO

If you're really feeling like getting out there though, you might have some luck walking the woods and finding a secluded oak patch or something. If you do that, throw a cheap camera out there and see what happens. Never hurts to check

Legal means and methods in the outdoor annual states 22, pellet gun, etc. The public hunting lands booklet says you can only use shotgun or 22 during the youth squirrel season.

Did some scouting yesterday in the Sam, found this guy while I was pushing through a bamboo thicket. Had to wait till I escaped the skeeters to take a picture though.

I'm driving from Austin this weekend looking for squirrels.
I am planning on hunting around the Little Lake Creek Wilderness.

I don't want anyone's secret spots but any general advice would be really appreciated.

Good luck. Just FYI, it's dense through that area. All the squirrels I've shot at SHNF have been off of 208A. Seen them off of 204 also, but there were no leaves and they would run off way before I had a shot. Bit of a hike in to both area's, but there is some low lands that are fairly open, enough to see the squirrel before it runs off a quarter mile.

There are alot of hiking trails through there and general season is over, so you are likely to come across hikers. Look at google earth and find the hardwood/pine edges. That is where they are. Gonna be super thick and green, so go shotgun.
