I got them last night at my daughter’s six month photo session by Lake Lavon. It feels like reading Braille on my legs. This **** itches so bad.

What’s reasonable about a $15 tube! Thanks though, re-upping on that right now. That’s the stuff.

Diesel soaked rags tied around your ankles works for most.

Vitamin B1 does work. 300 mg day before hitting the woods.
Not a doctor and don't know of any side effects. Been doing it for years and no more chiggers for me.

When I first started using B1 that’s what I did, seeing that it worked I started taking 1 100mg a day.

I can sit in the stand, watch a mosquito land on me and no bite.

                  It works.

This is the first time I’ve heard of this. Did you used to get bit quite a bit before taking it?

So how long before you hit the woods do you start taking this B1 vitamin? Any other beneficial effects? I have had them bad two times already this spring/summer. We never used to have chiggers around here either. Been doing the bleach in the tub thing and that seems to slow them down some.

Found out about it on here. Another TBH’r posted it on a thread years ago saying his doctor told him to take 3 B1 before he goes out. I did that and just decided to do it everyday that way it’s always in my system.

                              Look at post 30
