    Anybody smokin toady?

    I got the itch for some BBQ so last night I started my Boston butt pulled it off at 3:30am went for about 7 hours at 225-240 pulled it at 165* hope it slices up nicley. Now at 6am I jut put a 13 pound packer brisket on.

        Yeah lol I was thinking about doing 2 whole chicken too but thought that might be over board for 2 people.

                Got a 12lb brisket that went on the Egg at 4:20am. Currently has an internal temp of 136 so I still have a ways to go.

                  Did a pork butt yesterday
                  Could have used another 5-10 degrees as it didn't shred as easy as I like, but still had excellent flavor

                    Doing my first low and slow on the egg with some beef short ribs...got some post oak chunks in there...sitting just over 225.


                    Haven't calibrated the stat yet...are these egg stats usually pretty accurate?

                        I'm using a vision cooker kamado style grill mesquite and oak lump charcoal with a few small chunks of oak for more smoke. I'm still trying to figure this smoker out. I've only slow cooked 1 brisket and a few ribs but starting to get the hang of it.

                            Mine was way off.. you ever heard of iGrill? It comes with 4 probes so I use one for the egg temp and leave one in the brisket or whatever your cooking.. you can blue tooth it to your phone with the app, watch the temps on your phone and set alerts for if the temp gets too low or high..
