Default Who all stays in blind ALL day long?

I don't do it all the time, but when the temp is right and the deer are moving I really enjoy spending the entire day in the box blind. I have a good comfortable chair, heater, lunch, and maybe even a mid-day drink option or two with me. Always see movement mid-day and sometimes almost constant depending on temp and rut. I only do this 5 or 6 days a year, but really look forward to those all day sits. How many of y'all do the same?

I hunted Hagerman all day both times I was drawn. I do it occasionally during the rut on the lease.

If the hunt and conditions call for it sure. I don’t hunt to a schedule. If I’m tired of being there I leave if still enjoying it I may stay. Sure helps to see some form of activity to keep your morale high

When the conditions are just right, I will. Although I’ve found myself getting bored more easily in a blind so I’ve been getting out earlier, but will still hunt all day.

When hunting ground blind or pit blind. Not treestands.

I would just go get in my blind at 1030 then I have sit all day a few times, I am just not that mad at them anymore, now if I had a sure enough monster in the area then I would give it a go again.

Never have and never will. I like to be back in camp eating breakfast by 10, quite possibly a nap and catch some college football before the evening hunt.

Every now and then I will. Usually NOT early in the year, I'd rather come back and watch some football or something during the heat of the day. When it's cold or weather is ideal, I'll stay out there. Although my lunch I pack is usually gone by 8am and then I start to get hungry later on.

I tend to bring my tablet with lots of movies on it. Just plug in the headphones and enjoy. Just glance up every now and then. Keeps me from getting too bored and get to catch up on some movies I haven't had time to see yet.

I usually can't wait to get back to camp!

Not opposed to sitting in the blind all day but I would have to have something to do to occupy my mind when nothing is coming under the feeder.

I do it quite a bit, especially away from home. Why sit at the camphouse, the deer are not there. I always have plenty of water and some trail mix to tide me over. I've seen lots of deer mid day during November.

I've done it a handful of times. In my experience I've seen deer throughout the day but never anything that made the sit "worth it" during the times I have. Granted I could see myself doing it on the right property with the right weather (i.e rut in South Texas)

Other than that I'm out of the blind in enough time to grab breakfast

In the deerstand from 30 min before light to 30 min after dark. Bring a sandwich and some snickers with me. Nothing better than 30 degrees and just waiting.

yep, if the conditions are right. I sat all day in freezing weather in Ohio, because the deer were all over me. Never saw a shooter though.
I've also sat all night to hunt hogs. I won't do that anymore. My tired behind gots to get rest!

I did it for six days in a row when I hunted in Canada. There they take you out in the dark and don't pick you until it is dark. You are alone all day with nothing but your thoughts and your first thought is I hope they remember where they dropped me off.

I can't make myself do it. I'd bet that less than 1% of my mature buck pics are between 10a-3p, just not enough of a chance to make me sit there all day.

If I rifle hunted I might be more inclined to sit, but not with a bow.

Nope. I donít have the patience for that, especially hunting a feeder. My game camera usually shows ZERO movement between 10AM and 4PM so I ainít sittiní there and watching the grass grow.

I do a lot of all day sits on public if there is a lot of hunters out. Typically opening of bow/gun or on weekends/holidays. People are always walking around pushing up deer. Otherwise I might do a few during rut but not many.

Iíve never done it but I would give it a shot during the rut. I just need to be able to stand up and stretch a little every once in a while so have to be in my box blind. I usually have a couple books downloaded on my tablet to pass the time.

Never hunted from a blind only tripods. But I'm building a 6x6x7 blind that should be ready by next week, fingers crossed. I am looking forward to sitting in my creation and waiting for Mr. El Grande or anything else that might venture into the feeder.

If I get in a blind before the sun rises and there ain't nothin standing there an hour after the sun rises I'm ready to go. If a coyote or something runs through before then and stops it's getting killed. I don't like sitting there looking at nothing but grass blowing in the wind. That makes me tired.

I can't imagine being in a blind all day. I'd have me a t.v. and a couch to take a nap on moved into that sucker. I feel like I'm in a prison cell just thinking about that.

Our camp house is in the middle of our ranch, we call it the big blind, several animals have been taken from it, bow and rifle, nothing beats watching football, grilling steaks, drinking a cold one, and hunting at the same time.

Did the same thing in Canada for 4 years, but my guy had a flag you could raise if you wanted picked up because you killed something or was just too **** cold, the guide would glass from a distance a couple times a day to see if flag was flying.

After seeing the number of "next year shooters" last season, I will definitely be sitting for extended periods of time. Can't wait. Seeing the full-blown rut action last year (typically miss it due to timing (Holidays) that far south), I have a whole new outlook on our populations numbers/genetics. (Context: we don't run GCs)
