I found this guy at 9000 feet on a mountain in Colorado this past 4th off July. I had no idea they were there.

Found this one at work about three or four years ago. Maybe longer ago than that I can't really remember.

Not just any horned lizard....A Texas Horned Lizard! Phyr...something cornuta. Beautiful critter. Caughtem as a kid and havent seen’em since.

Caught this little guy down south.

When I was growing up, we would find them in Dallas near love field, and western oak cliff. As time passed, we saw less and less. Saw them lots around DeLeon in the 80's dove hunting. Last one I saw was 3 years ago north of Stamford.

Back in the 60's, horned toads were all over the place near Mountain Creek Lake. We used to go up the street to where Mountain View Junior College is when it was just empty land. Found them there too.
