    Uh.. This isn't right.

Strung my bow earlier and noticed this. I'm not sure when it happened. I shot a bit tonight and it didn't get any worse. This is a Bob Lee 62# Signatore recurve, and the crack is on the front of the bottom limb and seems to be only glass-deep. Should I be concerned?

Send that pick to Rob, they are awesome to deal with.

Only problem is I'm not the original owner.

Few of my bows have that stress crack too but an easy fix.

Clean the groves out & just drop some super glue in & good to go

I have read that those cracks can be caused by over tightening the limb bolts. You only need the bolts snug, plus another 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Like said above, send the pics to Rob and see what they say.

They aren't over tightened. I'll call in the morning.

I'll second sending picks to Rob. If they aren't willing to do anything about it, I'll also second filling the cracks with super glue. Then just keep an eye on it.

Called today and talked to JJ. Apparently the bow is nearly 10 years old. He said to do the super glue thing, which I did. Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

Super glue should do the trick, glue also keeps water & moisture from getting in between glass & wood cores. If moisture or water does get in it'll turn white & bubble up
