Well I was hoping to put a better pic here but with her frozen solid that's not happening. This is my first big game animal with traditional bows. I didn't make a perfect shot. She was quartering harder than I thought and though I hit her back the arrow got center liver and one lung. Man I hope I shoot better on game in the future. In a 10' tripod and with the leaves gone I can't believe I wasn't standing out like a sore thumb. 13 yard shot. 175 yard recovery. 175 grain GrizzlyStik Masai head. Pass through with arrow hanging out as she ran off, found it about 60 yards away. Lots of work left to do on getting this right. They say better lucky than good and this time I was very fortunate.

It's nice when you make a perfect shot, but this ain't ice skating - there's no style points! You flung an arrow and now there is a dead deer on the tailgate - that is what counts!
                  Congratulations Gary!
