    starter camera set up

I am stopping for a good starter setup for photo and video. I have been looking at nikon d3300 or d5500 but not locked in. Mainly will be used for outdoor applications. What say yall?

I have been looking at the d5300 and was fixing to ask the same same thing.

I have a 5300 with a 70-300 and a couple of fixed lenses, 30, 50, 85. Takes great pictures. The lenses are the really important part unless you are talking about taking portraits that will be on big poster sized prints.

Here are a few examples out of a 5300

Whoops, I lied. Its a 5100 not a 5300. So the 5300 with be higher MP and shoot a little faster. I'm selling my 5100 in the classifieds on here.
