wanting to make a knife

i have been thinking about making a knife for along time. the problem is i have no idea where to start....if i could get some pointers would be very helpful.

Check out Ryan's AKA doublearrow knife build along a few lines down in this forum. Very good place to start.

I used 440C for these blades with files and sand paper
