Pin Distances

there is no way in hell i could remember all that. That's the main reason i just shoot a single pin. I can shoot it from 5-40 yards without even thinking too much. Iyiyi i don't know how you do that lol.

I actually start my pins at 10 yards rather than 20. You never know how close you might get.

Unless you are shooting sinfully slow there is barely any impact distance from 10-20. I'm running 436 grains at 272fps and at 10 yards I'm an entire inch high.

I just started shooting a bow and got a great deal on a set up used bow from a TBHer. It has a 5 pin Spot Hogg Hogg-IT sight.

What distances do you typically set up your pins for? I have just been shooting from the 1st 2 pins set at 20 and 30.


Should I set them like this?

1 - 20
2 - 30
3 - 40
4 - 50
5 - 60

I shoot 30,40,50,60,70. 28 inch draw pullin 75 bowtech destroyer 350 LE with a arrow about 390 grains

I set my top pin at 20 and my ending pin at 45 and equally spaced the remaining pins. This seems to be the winning combination for "hunter" categories in tournaments.

I use the same setup for hunting.

In 30 years of bowhunting I've never seen this. Odd? Yep. But if it's Workin!!!!
