I whipped this out the other night using some of my 2017 doe meat and it came out fantastic. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
toss the butter and oil in a skillet and brown the venison. Add the onion and garlic about half way through the browning of the meat. Once the meat is browned dump in the rice and lightly brown the rice. Once the rice is browned you will add the can of beef broth and water. Simmer on very low heat for 25-30 minutes or until rice is tender. Mix in the parsley flakes and serve. If you want to add some spice to this dish you can add Jalapeno or cayenne pepper to taste.
1lbs - coarse ground venison
1cup - Texmati white rice
1can - low sodium beef broth
1/4cup - water
1tbl - minced garlic
1/2cup - chopped onion
1tbl - parsley flakes
2tbl - unsalted butter
1tbl - oil (I use coconut oil)
Salt and Pepper to taste
