There is really no dramatic story to the hunt. My season was over in 1 hour of hunting. Actually went to this stand to rid a nuisance hog or two and this dude showed up. Just a classic case of luck over skill. Some redneck being in the right place at the right time! Shot was a chip shot that anyone could have made with their eyes closed. The only downfall to the hunt was that one of the bucks that was with him would make him look like a dink!! It was getting dark, he was going to wind me in 10 more yards, and I thought I would be ignorant to pass the 10 yard shot up! The other deer was seriously a world class buck(4" wider..just as much mass..and longer tines). Hopefully my buddy that owns this place will get a chance to put his hands on him during the season. I am definitely pulling for him!

What a stud!!!! I love the mass!!! I have a 9 point with heavy mass like that, Nice buck, sorry to hear the season ended so soon, but hey at least you don't have to do the whole every two weeks to the chiropractor thing like I do towards the end of the season from all of the sitting on my arse...
