    Bittersweet Buck...Navarro

This deer was shot by my Uncle last season in December of 2016. He was never found until I found him in March of 2017. My Uncle was shocked that I found him in a Mesquite thicket. I have never shared the story until today with the board. This is the first buck we have taken from my property. My Uncle had Red Oak taxidermy work on him and picked him up this afternoon. I think that they did a great job on him!

I'm really glad my Uncle got him and I found him and the shoulder mount will live on! Back in 2012, my Uncle had received a cancer diagnosis and he really didn't hunt again until 2015 season. Was really excited he started hunting again and was able to take this buck. God is good, everyone have a Blessed Christmas season!

Did they just use another hide? I'm just guessing he was in rough shape when you found him considering months passed. Didn't know you could still salvage taxidermy after so much time had passed. Glad you found him! Really impressed with the mount
