But they are right up by the house

Everything seems to love them, coyotes, coons, and I am sure hogs eat them too
I eat a hand full a day when I'm there and they are ripe.

But, In 29 years hunting my lease I have seen probably a thousand deer walk right past them and never seen one eat one.

Sure you are not eating horse apples? Lol. funny you should say that although everybody says this is where to hunt, last year I hung my camera over a ripe persimmon tree and got several pictures of a coyote and that was it .

We have one on our lease that usually does pretty good. As soon as they get ripe, the ones the deer can reach from the ground are gone.
