If you're in a budget look into Missouri bullet company's coated .44 offerings. You can get a whole bunch for a good price and they can be pushed to jacketed bullet velocities with that poly coating they use.

I have killed a few with the Lee 310 gas check bullet out of a 444 Handi rifle. Big holes that leak a lot.

had a 444 years ago,, it was for sure a thumper,,,, i eventually traded it for a 45-70,,, it made even bigger holes!
