Tikka has the best factory triggers, hard to beat a good T3/T3x SS for an all around hunting rifle.

Single action lock up is tight and the cylinder gap is .004. Very tight for a revolver with a swing out cylinder. The one thing I’m not crazy about is the trigger pull. It’s fairly crisp but too heavy for my liking. Single action pull weight is 7 lbs and the double action pull weight needs a come-along. I’ll have to work on that and lighten it a bit.
Squirrels...this is your one and only warning...

Check out a local (to me) firm called Tikka Precision in Bozeman. I replaced the plastic bolt shroud and magazine with their machined aluminum parts.

Please report back how it shoots ASAP. I have a buddy considering this gun for his daughter.

Fist 10 shots sighting in with 150g federal soft points. I’m no Olympic shooter. First 3 shots were getting it dialed in. Shots 4-7 were first attempt. Made one more adjustment and 8-10 were next group. I may try a 168g and see if it will tighten groups up a bit. Plenty good for me.

I haven't bought a new gun in years, I've bought some well used guns but when i looked into this one i had to have it. Browning Xbolt Hells Canyon Speed in 300Win, 26" threaded barrel. I put on an awesome leupold scope and talley rings.. is a long gun but the weight is perfect. Can't wait to work up a load and get it dialed in.. i'm planning a pac northwest elk hunt in about 2 years! Im pumped!
