He wants to pay for his dad spot to split with another guy. These guys have plenty of cash. That's what I don't understand he wants less members but then wants to split this spot to benefit his dad I guess.

We have immediate family members living at home, i.e. wife, kids under 18...no split memberships...family members only..

Never have had this come up before but my opinion is if we split their membership that's like adding a member at half price. Everyone was on the same page at keeping it at 12 members and no more then they come up with this when I said no guest outside the family that lives in your house.

What are yalls opinions on these rules?

Kick him off and I’ll take his spot and it will just be me and my fiancé.

Easy enough and everyone stays happy.

We want and need a lease.

Rule 1- Seems fine with parents, siblings, and kids

Rule 2- No go unless you want to add more rules clarifying how to handle a two member spot with trophies and more guest and everything.

It’s for immediate family, you’ll need two spots[emoji6]

We live together and are getting married in less than 2 months so we are immediate family.

You are exactly right on the splitting question. Letting people "split"memberships is almost never a good idea.

Family is whatever everyone agrees on. Most of the guys on my lease have older sons so we still treat them as family but they still are on their dad's bag limit and members have priority on stands. Just needs to be crystal clear and in writing so everyone plays by the same rules and agree to follow them.

No split and my opinion is no guests during hunting season.

I really have no problem with bringing your kids any age, I know how hard it is for a young man in his 20's to afford to hunt. But bringing your mom dad, brothers or sisters I don't feel is right. And to create a split membership to circumvent the guest rule I don't like it either.

A lease is a legal document. The entire point of a written legal document is that the words on that paper are all that’s agreed-upon. Sounds to me like you need to draft a better lease agreement. Define immediate family and explicitly exclude splitting of membership.

                                1. Immediate family only meaning living under the roof and 18 or under.
                                2. Absolutely no splitting memberships.
My experience if you are lenient on the rules now, later you will have to be the bad person when you have to reinforce them. Problems such as these is the reason I will never again manage a lease but only be a member.
