It does seem like most have had success with the ELD-X but I’m still not a believer yet.
Once again, I shot a few hogs this past weekend snd got to talking to another guy on our lease who saw the same hog two mornings later. The markings we both described were too similar for it to be another hog. I’m 99% sure it’s the same hog. It’s a white hog with Appaloosa looking spots that run in a group we call the Holstein group. He did not notice any limp or sign of being hit. I know for a fact the hog I shot was on the ground for approximately 10 seconds flopping around after I hit it two days earlier.
I’m definitely not saying that I’m not prone to mistakes, but this is about a 70% recovery rate on hogs in the past two weeks. I’ve yet to lose a hog in the past year with a .223 or .243.
On the bright side this is one I did recover. DRT behind the ear shot.
